Welcome to the bast, Music and Musings - a newsletter about the multiverses the bast ponders, then pours out in song, poetry and prose.
I bring all of myselves here - the poet, writer, musician, recovering ER/Family Medicine doctor, biochemist, COVID researcher, mother earth gardener/herbalist, culinary experimenter, hiker/biker/kayaker/tree climber/cloud gazer, psychedelic enthusiast, mystical and practical consciousness explorer, spiritual spelunker in caves from Christianity to the Cathari, philosopher, yogini, Latin/etymology geek, crypto/web3 early adopter, financial/political systems analyst and recovering victim/ex-banker, international traveler, overlander, Burner, basketball/softball never-legend, interior designer/asthetic queen, home and hearth fortifier, mom navigating gender identity changes, partner enjoying interdependence and closing the book on co-dependent tales of woe, and daughter slaying the generational trauma dragon….
In short, I’m a humanist. Exploring what being a real human is for me, in relation to you in community and our shared reality.
Subscribers join us in The Living Room, where you’ll find the the bast Music and Musings newsletter with audio/video links, the bast podcast, and community chat about diverse topics woven in ways into songs which will come to life here.
You are early, and can expect posts to the newsletter twice weekly, Tuesdays and Fridays - paid subscribers get additional posts throughout the week, access to singles and album downloads, early video releases and “making of” videos.

Subscription revenue supports livestream/podcast equipment, music production/distribution costs, and eventually when paid subscribers number over 77, 10% to community chosen causes in need of green paper.
